In this episode, I cover what I think are fundamental core starting points to true success (in relationships, work, etc):

Self-Awareness

  • This life is a journey to learn yourself, be honest with what you find out in your discovery process
  • Don’t look at things as good and bad  traits…they just are what they are
  • When you find blind spots or gaps, make note of them and begin your process to work on those things

Self-Education

  • Once you discover gaps or areas that need improvement (in work, personal relationships, etc), taking your education in your own hands
  • Ways of self-educating: Reading books, taking courses, going to conferences, attending workshops or trainings
  • No one is going to prioritize your learning if you don’t

Personal Responsibility/Accountability

  • Yes, there will be times were others are definitely to blame for something, but blaming ultimately gets you nowhere
  • You have control of your response, your reactions, your words, etc…We have more power than we give ourselves credit for
  • Look for how YOU’ve contributed to every situation, that’s a great start to authenticity
  • The more you work on this, the less painful it’s is
